NAME: TATIANA ALEXEYEVNA GOLIKOVA

BORN: 9 February, 1966

EDUCATION: *Ms Golikova graduated from Plekhanov Economics Institute with a specialization in labour economics in 1987.  *She later received a degree from the Moscow Institute of National Economy.

CAREER: *Upon graduation, Ms Golikova worked as a junior researcher in the wages’ department of the scientific-research institute of labor at “Goskomtrud” of the Soviet Union.

*Ms Golikova was an economist in the State Budget Department at the Finance Ministry from 1990 to 1992.  *She held the post of Chief Economist in State Budget Department at the Finance Ministry from 1992 to 1995.  *Ms Golikova was Deputy Head of State Budget Department at the Finance Ministry from 1995 to 1998.  *She held the post of Head of State Budget Department at the Finance Ministry from April to August 1998.  *Ms Golikova was Head of the Budget Policy Department from August 1998 to July 1999.  *She was deputy Finance Minister from July 1999 to 2002.  *Ms Golikova held the post of 1st Deputy Finance Minister from 2002 to 2004.  *She was a Deputy Finance Minister from 2004 to September 2007.

MISCELLANEOUS: *Ms Golikova has been married to Minister of Industry and Trade, Viktor Khristenko since 2003.  *Bureaucrat.  *Outstanding math skills.  *“Miss Budget”.  *Deputy Chair, Federal Antinarcotics Service (FSKN).  *Appointed to this post at Medvedev’s suggestion. *In 2001 she was awarded the Medal of Honor “For Services to the Fatherland” of the 2nd Degree for her contributions within the Finance Ministry. *Additionally, Ms Golikova has also been bestowed with the medal “For Services to the Fatherland” of the 1st Degree (2004), the Medal of Honor (in February 2006, for her contributions in the preparation and undertaking of the celebrations for the 60th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War {World War II}) and the Medal of Friendship (in November 2006).

SUBORDINATES: *The Ministry of Health and Social Development is responsible for pension-system reform.
