NAME: ANDREI BELOUSOV

BORN: 17 March 1959 in Moscow

EDUCATION: Mr Belousov graduated with honours from Lomonosov Moscow State University, Department of Economics, with a degree in economic cybernetics in 1981.

CAREER:  *Upon graduation, Mr Belousov worked as an intern researcher,  and then a junior researcher at the Central Economics and Mathematics Institute of the USSR Academy of Sciences until 1986.  *From 1986 to 1990 he was a junior researcher, then researcher, then senior researcher at the Institute of Economics and Scientific and Technical Progress Forecasts of the USSR Academy of Sciences.  *From 1990 to 2006 Mr Belousov was a senior researcher, then head of a laboratory at the Institute of National Economy Prognostication of the Russian Academy of Sciences.  *In 2006, Mr Belousov was appointed Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation.  *In 2008, Mr Belousov was appointed Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.  *From 2008 to 2012 Mr Belousov served as Director of the Department of Economy and Finance of the Government of the Russian Federation.  *From 2012 to 2013, Mr Belousov served as Economic Development Minister of the Russian Federation.  *On 24 June 2013, Mr Belousov was appointed Aide to the President of the Russian Federation responsible for the economic portfolio.

MISCELLANEOUS: *Mr Belousov is a Class I Active State Advisor of the Russian Federation. *He holds a PhD in Economics.  *In 2007 Mr Belousov was awarded honorary title of Honoured Economist of the Russian Federation.  *He was awarded the Order of Honour in 2009.  *Married, with one son.
