NAME: ALEXANDER DMITRIEVICH ZHUKOV

BORN: 1 June 1956 in Moscow.

EDUCATION: *Mr Zhukov graduated from Moscow State University in 1978, with a degree in Economics and Mathematics.  *He later studied at Harvard Business School in 1991.

CAREER: *Mr Zhukov was Head of Department, Ministry of Finance, State Duma from 1978 to 1990.  *He held the position of Vice-President, VAO ATEX from 1991 to 1993.  *He held the position of Chairman, Committee on Budget and Taxes, State Duma of Russia from 1997-2004.

MISCELLANEOUS: *Long viewed as a liberal democrat, Mr Zhukov switched to United Russia shortly after the Duma Elections in December 2003.  He was rewarded with the post of Deputy Prime Minister a few months later. *Speaks English.  *Married, one daughter.  *Earned .3 million roubles in 2002, 2 million roubles in 2006, 3.5 million roubles in 2008, and 3.7 million roubles in 2009.
