NAME: ANTON VAINO

BORN:  17 February 1972 in Tallinn, Estonia.

EDUCATION: *Mr Vaino graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the Russian Foreign Ministry, with a degree in International Relations in 1996.

CAREER: *Upon graduation, Mr Vaino worked at the Russian Embassy in Tokyo, Japan, then at the Second Asian Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry.  *From 2002-2004, he held different posts at the Presidential Protocol Directorate.  *From 2004-2007, Mr Vaino served as Deputy Head of the Presidential Protocol Scheduling Directorate.  *He was appointed First Deputy Head of the Presidential Protocol Scheduling Directorate in 2007.  *From October 2007 to April 2008, Mr Vaino served as Deputy Chief of the Government Staff.  *On 25 April 2008, he was appointed Chief of the Prime Minister’s Protocol, Deputy Chief of the Government Staff.  *He has been Deputy Chief of the Presidential Executive Office since 21 May 2012.
