NAME: ELVIRA SAKHIPZADOVNA NABUILLINA

BORN: 29 October, 1963

EDUCATION: *Ms Nabiullina graduated from Moscow State University with a degree in economics in 1986.

CAREER: *Ms Nabiullina was the Deputy Head of Economic Reform Department at the Ministry of Economy from 1994 to 1996.  *She was Head of Economic Reform Department at the Ministry of Economy from 1996 to 1997.  *She was the Deputy Minister of Economy from 1997 to 1998.  *Ms Nabiullina entered the private sector as Deputy President of Promtorg Bank in 1998.  *She was the Vice President of the “Strategic Development Centre” from 1999 to 2000.  *Ms Nabiullina held the post of 1st Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade from 2000 to 2003.  *She became President of the “Strategic Development Centre” in 2003, and held the post until 2005.  *Ms Nabiullina was appointed Head of Research Group at the “Strategic Development Centre” in October 2005.  *Ms Nabiullina replaced German O Gref as Minister of Economic Development and Trade on 24 September 2007.  *She was appointed head of the newly formed Ministry of Economic Development in May 2008. 

MISCELLANEOUS: *Bureaucrat.  *Ms Nabiullina became a member of the board of Gazprom on 27 June 2008.  *The “Strategic Development Centre” was created by German O Gref in 1999?. *Married to Yaroslav Kuzminov, rector of the Higher Economics School in Moscow.  *Tied to Promtorgbank.  *Advised Medvedev on National Projects.
