NAME: LARISA IGORYEVNA BRYCHEVA

BORN: 26 May 1957 in Moscow

EDUCATION: *Ms Brycheva graduated from the law faculty of Moscow State University (MGU) in 1981.  *She completed post-graduate studies at the Institute of State and Law of the USSR Academy of Sciences in 1985.

CAREER: *Ms Brycheva was a Research Assistant at the Institute of State and Law of the USSR Academy of Sciences from 1985 to 1987.  *She was Department Editor, then Deputy Editor of the magazine “Soviet State and Law” from 1987 to 1992.  *She served as head specialist of the Legislation Committee of the Supreme Council of the Russian Federation from 1992 to 1993.  *From 1993 to 1999 Ms Brycheva held several senior administrative and advisory positions in the Presidential Administration, including head of department in the Russian Federation Presidential Executive Office, chief of staff for the Presidential plenipotentiary to the Federal Assembly, and deputy head of the Main Federal Legal Department.  *In 1999, she was appointed head of the Main Federal Legal Department.  *In 2004, she was selected aide to the President, and Head of the State Legal Directorate in the Presidential Executive Office. 

MISCELLANEOUS: *A fellow of Dzhakhan Polliyeva at Moscow State University law school and the Academy of Sciences.  *She is a highly accomplished legal specialist, not a political operator.
