NAME: ELENA BORISOVNA SKRYNNIK

 

BORN: 30 August, 1961 in Chelyabinsk

 

EDUCATION: *Ms Skrynnik studied at the Chelyabinsk Medical Institute, which she completed in 1986.  *She furthered her studies at the Academy of National Agriculture.

 

CAREER: *Ms Skrynnik interned in France and Germany in the area of ‘leasing technology’. *She set up her own medical equipment leasing company “Medleasing” in 1994. *From 2001 she was in charge of the government agro-industrial company “Rosagroleasing”.  *In November 2008 Elena Skrynnik became a member of the High Council of the United Russia political party. *Elena Skrynnik was appointed Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation by President Dmitry Medvedev on March 12, 2009.
