BORN: 27 May 27, 1953 in Novosibirsk.

EDUCATION: *Mr Tolokonsky graduated from the Economics Department of the Novosibirsk Institute of National Economy and completed postgraduate studies at Novosibirsk State University.

CAREER: *From 1981 to 1991 Mr Tolokonsky held executive posts in the Novosibirsk Region Executive Committee. *From 1991 to 1993 he was deputy chairman of the Novosibirsk Municipal Executive Committee. *From 1993 to 1999 Mr Tolokonsky served as mayor of Novosibirsk. *From January 2000 to September 2010 he served as head of the Administration, Governor of the Novosibirsk Region. *In September 2010 Mr Tolokonsky was appointed Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Siberian Federal District..

MISCELLANEOUS: *Married, with two children. *Mr Tolonsky was awarded the Order for Service to the Fatherland IV degree, the Order of Friendship, Medal for Merit in all-Russian Population Census, as well as orders of the Russian Orthodox Church and the Public Recognition golden badge of honour. *Winner of the national prize The Best Governor of Russia.
